Fleurs et bouquets au point de croix French Edition edition by Brigitte Roquemont Crafts Hobbies Home eBooks
You don't need to speak French to enjoy this book. It has only charts, 31 of them, so if you are a cross stitcher, you will immediately see you have all you need:- a photo of each finished design
- a colored chart
- a color key with DMC floss numbers.
The thing I didn't like is the fact that the book doesn't say that it is actually DMC floss so I had to check my DMC color card to be sure. I know that majority of charts do use DMC thread, but still, it needs to be clearly stated because there are also other producers.
What I liked is that you can enlarge the charts so it is easily followed. (I'm using Kindle App on my iPad.) So I guess you could potentially use them without printing. I'm only not sure if it would be annoying if you had to switch on all the time the device you use because of the auto-look feature.
As for the designs I found several I could use. I would say some are very nice, but nothing really extraordinary, more a sort of mainstream. For me that is also fine and I will probably be using the book as a single motif source.
Overall my grade is 3.5 stars.

Fleurs et bouquets au point de croix French Edition edition by Brigitte Roquemont Crafts Hobbies Home eBooks Reviews
I sew a lot and am always on the lookout for ideas. I do not make cross stitch picktures to frame or anything like that. I make clothes, but I have picked out small motifs from the book and embroydered them on garments. Definetly great, especially because it is free and downloadable.
Most of the cross-sttch patterns are minor variations of each other. They all start looking alike, and you must look carefully to find the difference. Seems to me that can make just as many small variations one's self.
This book would be a bargain at 5 dollars. Unbelievable to get it for free. Lots of small floral designs. Each pattern is a collage of flowers. The designer has a knack for capturing the essence of each flower in a few stitches. The patterns use a lot of half stitches, so I would not recommend this book for beginners.
If you already know how to cross-stitch, you'll know exactly what to do. 31 very nice charts, and you can use the colors you see, or invent your own combinations since it does not state which thread producer's colors are being used. So get creative!
This book contains charts for several floral arrangements, potted houseplants, and garden scenes... including cute butterflies, dragonflies and other cute little garden accessories. You get the color picture, chart and color codes. You don't need to read French, just follow the charts. I adore the variety of plants from roses, pansies, Christmas cactus (blooming and non blooming) regular cactus and tons of others.
The patterns are pretty and you can increase the size of your text to see them easier and even the missing company name for the key is not that bad. For a French book, I would expect the floss to be DMC!
However, there is one problem. The 10th pattern (Quatuor de Fleurs) Has an incomplete key! It has part of the backstitch key but the "top" item is incomplete and there is NO key for the cross-stitches.
That pattern isn't much use without a key! That brings the total to 30 patterns, not 31.
Lovely patterns! Can't figure out how to print these however. I don't think it would be easy to follow while on my kindle fire! Please include how to or some way to send to PDF maybe...even one then you would get paid I guess every download? I am suggesting since I would like to see more and be able to use them. Love the roses and irises!
